Blended Vision Presbyopia Correction

Blended vision correction for presbyopia allows people suffering from blurred vision associated with aging to see well up close while still maintaining their distance vision. The results allow people over the age of 40 to see both near and far without the use of eyeglasses.

The laser surgery for blended vision presbyopia correction is done in such a way that patients use one eye for distance (usually the dominant eye) and one eye for close-up vision. After blended vision presbyopia correction, the brain automatically switches from one eye to the other without the patient's recognition.

Prior to undergoing laser surgery, patients are given contact lenses that simulate the effects of blended vision presbyopia correction to determine if it is the right treatment for them.
